Reese is a 4 year old spayed female pit bull mix who is chocolate in color with peanut butter highlights. Reese has overcome amazing odds. She was tied to the back of a truck and dragged through the street, causing her life-threatening burns and trauma. Reese survived debridement, multiple surgeries and a long rehabilitation period and made a 100% recovery. It's amazing to see a dog who has gone through so much show such zest for life! An adult-only home with no other animals may be best for Reese. Reese's owner should be a confident leader, who will help her continue to learn appropriate behavior as she settles into life as a pet. Rosie is is smart, attentive, eager to please; she lives and breathes for the affection of children and always in search of a cat to cuddle with. As a puppy Rosie faced death for a broken shoulder, which was surgically repaired and pinned. She does limp when she's overdone it, but her prognosis is good. Rosie LOVES cats, has strong opinions about other female dogs but does well with one other, preferably male playmate. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, in good health and fully trained. She is crate and house trained and absolutely ADORES children. If you believe you offer the right foster or permanent home for Rosie please contact juliehernandez@live.com. Sadly, we lost Pie last week due to intestinal complications. He passed on peacefully and well-loved with his head in the lap of his caregiver after enjoying a tub of hummus. RIP, Pie.
