Michelle & Moonshine
"Three years ago I went to a local rodeo and there was a lady with two litters of pit bull mixes in a large Tupperware container. I walked past the babies several times, each time, one in particular was sitting in the corner of the box quietly looking at me. the last time I walked past, she was the only remaining baby. I took her out for just a minute to hold because it was very cold outside, and as soon as I did, the person who had the babies took off. Here I was left with this pit bull mix. I knew nothing about the breed and anytime I would tell someone of her, they would yell at me saying she was going to be a killer. I took her home, got her cleaned up, and loved her and got more attached to her than I could ever imagine. Her separation anxiety was so severe that she literally dug through the drywall trying to get out of rooms she was left in, but she eventually grew into the greatest, most well behaved dog I could ask for. Since I have had her, each pit that has come into the animal shelter has also worked their way into my heart because I know how much love and loyalty they are capable of and I preach that message to everyone I know." - Michelle
Tina & Roxy
UPDATE: Look for Roxy as Miss June 2010, posing with Audiogirl!
"Roxy is loveable and cuddly. She also likes to take care of people when they're hurting. She has an assertive personality & loves people. Her pervious owner tried to clip her ears but mutilated them instead. She was removed from this person by animal control officer. My niece adopted her off death row at the animal shelter, and my husband & I took Roxy in, and she became a beach dog. While playing on the beach she has charmed the lifeguards & Newport beach police. One day while walking on the beach we were hit by a 15 foot plus wave. Roxy was able to swim to shore, towing me in to safety. She truly is a Rescue Dog!"

Jennifer
Jennifer often volunteers with Molly's Mutts and Meows helping to place bullys and other animals in need. Her frequent networking on Facebook and volunteering with different rescues helps save lives! She posted and re-posted until Twinkle, one of our sponsor dogs, found a rescue. Jennifer is a great example of what just one person can do. Next time you're bored on Facebook or Myspace, consider adding a few rescues and helping spread the word about bullies in need!
Eva Von Bats
Eva fosters bullies AND rescues bats. (Yep, bats.) She also recently got our logo as a tattoo! We love Eva's enthusiasm and positive attitude toward bullies, bats, and all animals. She comes to events and her enthisiasm for animals knows no bounds. She's an example for anyone to follow. She works with this San Diego pit rescue and is into meeting other bully advocates in her area.
Sara
"Matozzi is the love of my life. The brindle is Malakai. He is one of the pitties I fostered. I work at a shelter, and I foster bullies. My family was always anti-pitbulls, because of everything they saw on tv, but i've always loved them, so when I turned 18 and moved out, I got Matozzi. She is the friendliest, most loving and loyal dog in the whole world! Matozzi and I, along with whatever pittie I may be fostering at the time, go to the local high school and talk about bullies, responsible ownership, spay/neutering and how the kids can help.
Yesterday I gave a girl scout troop a tour of our shelter. The kids wanted to pet a pomeranian. I said no, because I didnt trust him. When they asked which dog i did trust, I chose the pit bull we had available and let the kids play with her. The parents were uneasy at first, kind of in shock that I chose the "viscious" dog... but after they saw all the girls playing with Abby, and how sweet Abby was, one of them even considered adopting her! I never pass up an oportunity for education!" -Sara and Matozzi

Alyssa
"I'd like you to meet my best friend, Teagan. At only a year and a half old, she is a whopping 75 lbs! My dad calls her "Fat head" or "block head"... pitbulls have big heads, and even bigger hearts! I think it's great what you girls are doing! I just recently signed a petition for the City of Denver to drop the "ban on pitbulls"... It absolutely breaks my heart! Thank you so much for everything you beautiful girls are doing! I think it is absolutely wonderful how you are getting your point across, keep up the great work!" - Sincerely, Alyssa of Thornton, Colorado
